First Day Down!!!

Well as you may know, I am going to medical school. Today was my first day and I MADE IT THROUGH!!! I have received a lot of information on the first day and feel quite overwhelmed. However, I am determined to hang in there and be the best Medical Assistant I can be. lol I am sure that I am going to need all of the good wishes and prayers that you all are willing to give. All are welcome. Well, I have to go so I can cook dinner and then get to studying and do my homework. That's right homework on the first day. And by the way, a test on Friday. Wow, they don't wast any time do they? Thank's for listening.

Our House!!

Ok...above are some pics of our house. The house is all white, which drives Jon and I crazy!! But we are trying to add color through decorations. And you all know Jon loves to decorate. :o) He has such a talent for arranging silks. We are far from finished decorating. We have to add things as our budget allows. Our living room is so bare. We don't have anything to put on the walls yet. But of course Jon's big TV is the focal point anyway. lol Steve and Sam were the first to see our house, but it was completely bare. At least until they brought us all of our furniture. Thanks you guys, you are the greatest.
Brian and Tessa came to visit us a couple of weeks ago and had dinner with us. We had a great time. Jon and Brian played PS3 and hung out while Tessa was at her parents house. Then Brian helped Jon and I in the kitchen prepairing dinner. We had lots of fun, it was great! We can't wait to entertain more of our friends. We realize we live so far away so anytime friends are comming to the Mesa area we hope to get a visit. We have a guest bedroom if you would like to stay overnight. We would love to have you. :o) Hope to see you soon.

Starting Over

OK...I know it has been quite a while since I have blogged. So I will try to catch up on what has gone on in our lives since my last blog, but also keeping it short.
Jon and I arrived back in Safford, AZ Nov. 1st 2009 (made possible by a great friend, Steve). We stayed with mom and dad for a couple of days. Then we rented a small apartment next door to my parents. We loved being close to my parents again. We were still not able to find work. I was at least able to draw unemployment. So after a couple of months, Jon was able to get an interview with a company called ASARCO. He got the job and started working in mid February 2010. We were so excited that at least one of us found work. However, the job was about 125 miles from Safford, so we had to move yet again. We stayed with my brother, Jerry, in Globe until we saved up enough money to lease a house. If it weren't for Jerry's generosity, Jon would not have been able to take the job because he would not have been able to travel back and forth from Safford. Thank you Jerry!!! So we found a house in Gold Canyon and we love it. It is just outside of the Phoenix Metro area. We live in the beautiful country, but are just 10 minutes away form a huge metropolise. We love it!!!
God Bless each and everyone who helped us along our journey of reaching our current location. If it weren't for each one of you we would not have made it through 2009 and early 2010. We love you all and God Bless.

Pray for us, please

I haven't blogged for a while now because I really haven't had anything pleasant to talk about. Jon and I are in Atlanta, GA staying with his uncle and aunt for almost 2 weeks now. We are trying to find work in this area. Still no luck, yet. All of your prayers are greatly appreciated. I have wished time and time again that we would have stayed in AZ, where at least I had a job. But Jon was sure that we would not be able to make it there without him also working. Well guess what? I miss you all and wish you all the best. I'll blog again when I have something good to share. Love You all.

4th of July

Jon and I were not able to be together this year for the 4th of July. It is the first holiday we haven't spent together in a little over 2 1/2 years. :o( He got a job (at least one of us has one now) and it took him out of town to Lousiana. So I spent the evening with Preston, Christine, Dollie, Steven, Kenny, Suzie, and all of their children and some of their grandchildren. At the same time I was missing my good friends in AZ. You know who you are! Hope you all had a great 4th! I hope your fireworks show was better than mine! Actually, I know it was. lol I did get to talk to my hubby and to Kirsten both on the 4th, which I really enjoyed. I know I will be seeing my husband soon, but I wish I knew when I will be able to see my beautiful daughter again. Soon I hope.

Meeting The Family!

Well as most of you know, Jon and I have been together for 10 years now and I have never met any of his family except his two beautiful daughters, Brittany and Chelsea. Well, Father's Day weekend that changed. Jon and I took a trip to Winder, GA where his aunt Glenda lives. Glenda and Becky, Jon's mom, are sisters and Becky was visiting her for a few weeks. When Jon found out that his mom was going to be only 4 1/2 hours away from him, he made arrangements to go see her. We left early (5am) Saturday morning heading to GA. When we got there I could see how nervous Jon was. We sat at the local Wal-Mart waiting on his mom to get there. He was worried about how his mom would react to seeing him as well as how or if she would accept me into the family. I told him not to worry, we were going to be together no matter what. We were first met by Jon's mom and aunt Glenda. When Glenda introduced herself to me she approached me with open arms and said we are huggers. It was really nice to finally get to meet Jon's family. Now I can truely say he was not dropped on earth by aliens. lol! Glenda and Mitch, her husband, had arranged for us to stay with them. Much to my supprise Glenda and Jon had decided for us to stay Sunday night as well. It's a good thing that I always over pack. lol We spent the day getting to know each other and meeting other members of the family as well. And watching home videos of when Jon and Christy, Jon's sister, were still at home. Over the next 2 days I met the entire family on Becky's side. From Becky's parents to Becky's great nieces and nephews and everyone in between. It was truely an enjoyable time. We had a big family dinner, a slow southern boil, on Father's Day. Monday morning we left Winder and went to Gainesville to Jon's Nana and PawPaw's house. They have a house on Lake Linear. They took us out on the lake on their pontoon boat. It was so incredibly beautiful. I didn't want to go back to shore, but it started lightening. Then we went to dinner with his grandparents and then went back home. Over all I would have to say that the trip was very pleasurable. I know it did Jon's heart good and mine as well to see Jon so happy. Hopefully we will be seeing them all again soon. I have pics, but I am having issues with my card reader. I will post them as soon as I can.

Jon was Violated!

Jon's new phone, which he just got the end of May, was stolen today when he was fishing. Just luckily for the thief, the retail cost comes to $481.49 after tax(that is not what we paid for it). If it had come to $500 it would have been considered a felony. A woman at the fishing spot knew one of the two boys that took the phone and told the police his name. She saw him with a phone, however she did not see him take it off of Jon's tackle bag. Therefore, we cannot prove the boy took it but if the police pick him up and he has it on him that is proof. Jon filed a report and then went to the court house and filed an affidavit. Hopefully we will get his phone back and the boy will go to jail, but we are not counting on it.

Giving Blogging A Try!

OK, I'm going to give this blogging a try. Bare with me. I really enjoy reading the blogs posted from my friends. Her goes. Since Jon and I left Arizona we have not had too much going for us. However, we are trying not to let our sprits get down. As a matter of fact, we have started back to Church. There are still no jobs available here or anywhere for that matter. We are looking, just with no luck. I have a prospect of a job but again it is about 2 to 3 weeks before I will know if I have it or not. I have never had a problem finding a job and it is just about to drive me crazy. Jon is in the same boat. Well enough dishartening blogging. Jon and I are going to take a drive to Gainsville, Georgia in the morning to see, you will never believe who. His mother and grandparents. Can you believe it. Jon and I have been together for 10 years and I have never met or even spoken to them. Wish me luck. I'm sure everything will go well, afterall we will only be there for a few hours. I am happy that we are going, because Jon has been estrainged from his family for too long now (About 15 years). It will do his heart good to see them again. Well enough for now. I will try to post some pics of the reunion when we get back.
